Texas Speaker of the House Dustin Burrows is sitting on a hefty $4.4 million campaign war chest heading into the 2026 Texas primaries, where he and the entire House are up for election.
On Jan. 15, the Texas Ethics Commission released current office holders’ biannual campaign finance reports that cover donations and expenditures for the elected officials between June 2025 and Dec. 2025.

This transparency allows Texans to see how much their officials have raised and — more importantly — who they are receiving money from. It’s worth noting that from June to September, the Texas House and Senate were in session for two back-to-back special sessions by the governor.

According to Burrows’ campaign, the total represents one of the strongest fundraising performances ever by a first-term Speaker and underscores the broad, statewide confidence in Speaker Burrows’ leadership from Texans, business leaders, and public policy stakeholders.
“Speaker Burrows led the Texas House through one of the most productive, results-driven legislative sessions in recent memory, and this historic fundraising haul reflects that success,” said Jason Johnson, senior political advisor to the campaign. “Support continues to grow because Texans recognize Speaker Burrows’ steady leadership and commitment to delivering conservative results.”
For context, Burrows is the Republican representative from Lubbock in House District 83 and is not set to face a Republican challenger during the March primaries but is set to face a Democratic challenger during the November General Election.

Top PAC contributors to Speaker Burrows
Burrows campaign saw 471 donations during the period — this number accounts for individuals or PACs donating multiple times.
Of that 519,171 political action committees contributed $1,707,699, equaling around 46.3% of the total funds raised during the period.
Breaking that down even further, seven PACs that contributed more than $50,000 during this period:

One of the things Burrows’ campaign also did was purchase a CD worth $2 million from Western Bank in Lubbock — his home district — on Oct. 1.
