With less than 24 hours remaining until the commencement of the draft, one NFL media analyst listed Texas A&M’s elite wide receiver as a first-round pick.
In Daniel Jeremiah’s final mock draft on NFL.com, KC Concepcion was projected to land with the Cleveland Browns at pick No. 24. Concepcion impressed during his lone season in Bryan-College Station, after transferring from NC State, racking up 919 yards on 61 receptions and nine touchdowns. He also flashed as one of college football’s best punt returners, recording 456 yards and two touchdowns for the Aggies in 2025.
His outstanding elusiveness and ability to separate from defenders have opened the eyes of scouts across the league, placing him in a solid position to become a first-rounder in the NFL draft come Thursday night.
Concepcion has proven to be one of the most dynamic and elite wide receiver prospects to come out of Texas A&M since Mike Evans. Throughout the entire draft process, his determination to succeed and make his mark in the NFL has led to a steady increase in his projected landing spot.
He put the league’s general managers on notice with a passionate letter about his stutter, which he has struggled with his entire life. The concluding paragraph of his statement is a testament to who Concepcion is as an athlete and person, while also giving every NFL team an emphatic message on why they should draft the Aggie standout.
“Before I get out of here, I do want to say, once again, for all to hear, that I’m the best receiver in this draft. But, at the end of the day, I’m so much more than just a football player. And any team that picks me is going to realize that immediately. So if you’re a GM out there reading this, put me on your team, and let’s get to work. You’re not going to regret calling my name. Never. And I mean never. Did I stutter?”
The first round of the NFL draft begins Thursday at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on the NFL Network, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes. Day 2 is slated to begin at 6 p.m. CT, followed by the final rounds on Saturday at 12 p.m. CT.
