Texas A&M baseball left no doubt on the diamond at Taylor Stadium on Saturday evening, as the Aggies secured their first SEC series victory of 2026 against the Missouri Tigers, with a 14-6 outing in Columbia in Game 2.
Jake Duer set the tone for the Aggies in the first inning with an RBI single. He would score on Nico Partida’s groundout to make the score 2-0 in Texas A&M’s favor. Missouri responded with an RBI single from Keegan Knutson to cut the lead down to one run, but the Maroon and White came back with one of the most massive innings of the series.

The top of the third was a scoring party for the Aggies, as they tacked on seven runs, including a moon-shot, three-run homer from Gavin Grahovac. In the following inning, Partida joined the fun with a two-run homer of his own to put Texas A&M in a commanding lead over the Tigers.
From there, Grahovac and Partida notched their second home runs of the contest to put Game 2 out of reach for Missouri and secure the program’s first conference series win of the season.
It has been a battle for Texas A&M to get to this point, but the Aggies grinded away, and the lineup found ways to keep the bats hot against the Tigers on the road. After giving up nine runs and almost allowing Missouri to mount a massive comeback in Game 1, the Aggie bullpen had a decent outing in Game 2.
Right-hander Weston Moss struggled at times, recording two strikeouts and allowing four walks, five hits and four earned runs, but Gavin Lyons and Grant Cunnigham backed him up tremendously with impressive performances on the mound to close out the game. Lyons and Cunningham combined for three strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs on six hits.
Next up, Texas A&M will look for the sweep of Missouri on Sunday. First pitch from Taylor Stadium in Columbia is slated for 1 p.m. CT and Game 3 will be broadcast live on SEC Network+.
