It’s been a full-circle journey for Texas A&M outside hitter Kyndal Stowers. From being medically retired to joining the Aggie volleyball program to becoming the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player and ultimately a finalist for the ESPYs Comeback Athlete of the Year. Now, she’s stepping into the next chapter of her rise.
To kick off the 2026 season, Stowers has been named to the Preseason All-SEC Team, a fitting honor for one of the nation’s most impactful returning players. As the lone Aggie selected, her inclusion underscores both her individual growth and her commitment to the system head coach Jamie Morrison has built in College Station.
For Stowers, the mission now shifts toward continued development and helping elevate Texas A&M into a sustained national powerhouse. Her breakout 2025 campaign set the foundation and the expectations for what comes next.
Preseason lists are always fun to revisit as the season unfolds. They rarely hit at 100 percent accuracy, but they offer a snapshot of who the conference believes will shape the race. By the end of the year, we’ll know exactly who rose to the top.
