San Angelo city offices will be closed Friday in observance of Independence Day, according to a news release.
Trash
The landfill will be closed Saturday. The landfill will be open Friday, and trash pickup will be unaffected.
Fort Concho
Hourly firing of the artillery will occur 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on the Parade Ground near Barracks 1. This is free and open to all on Friday.

Municipal Pool
On Thursday, after normal operating hours of noon-6 p.m., the pool will reopen 6:30 p.m.-11 p.m. for guests to view the fireworks then at the River Stage. This event is sold out.
The pool will be open the Fourth of July for public swimming noon-6 p.m. Admission is $5 for ages 3-64, free for children 2 and younger, and $3 for ages 65 and older.
“The slide is operating again, but the water features may not be in working condition by the time of the festivities,” the release stated.
City office closures

• Animal shelter
• City Hall and the Community Development Building
• City Hall Annex, including water billing
• Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices
• Municipal court
• Parks and Recreation offices
• San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department
• Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers
• Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers
• WIC (Women, Infants & Children) City offices will reopen Monday
