An Abilene man was killed in a motorcycle crash Monday night in south Abilene, police said.
The driver, Skyler Fowler, 20, was transported to the hospital where he later died, an Abilene police news release said.

The 20-year-old female passenger was also transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
At approximately 10 p.m. Monday, police responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck, the news release said.
Preliminary information indicates the Honda GL 500 motorcycle was heading south on Treadaway Boulevard when it collided with a Dodge pickup truck that was traveling north and turning onto Butternut Street, the release said.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck received minor injuries, the release said. The APD Traffic Division is investigating the crash. Speed and lighting were deemed possible contributors to the crash.
Fowler was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and it is unknown if the woman on the motorcycle was wearing a helmet, the release said.
Police did not release her name in the statement Tuesday.
