Lubbock Black Business Expo announces 2026 event

The Black Business Expo has announced the 2026 Lubbock event and theme — “From Vision to Victory.” Here’s what to know about this two-day event coming at the end of January spotlighting Black-owned businesses.

The event aims to bring together communities while offering Black entrepreneurs the opportunity to be seen, and people to shop local businesses.

“Our goal is to create a space where Black-owned businesses are not only seen, but supported,” said Ricky Sherfield, co-organizer. “This year’s theme, From Vision to Victory, reflects the real stories behind entrepreneurship — the planning, the perseverance, and the progress!”

On Jan. 30, there will be a networking mixer from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Harris Cafe Seafood & More, 1519 34th St. The main event will be the expo from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 31 at Mae Simmons Community Center, 2004 Oak Ave.

Both events are open to all and free to participate in.
