Traffic has returned to normal on Interstate 10 near Downtown El Paso after the freeway was shut down for several hours while police investigated a crash.
I-10 East near Porfirio Diaz Street was reopened before 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, after being closed since 10:30 p.m. the previous night when traffic was diverted off the freeway after a person was hit by a vehicle, Texas Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed.
No further information has been released on the collision.
Early morning commuters were stuck in traffic as police continued their investigation at about 5 a.m., with eastbound traffic being diverted off I-10 at Executive Center Boulevard.
