How far you'll have to drive from San Angelo to get your Buc-ee's fix

If you’ve ventured across Texas, your road trip has likely led you to a massive travel center popularly identified by a cute mascot that often boasts about spotless, award-winning restrooms.

Since San Angelo has yet to have its own Buc-ee’s — there are 36 in Texas — you might want to experience the hype behind these convenience stores for yourself.

If you’ve already been, maybe you’re craving those caramel-coated Beaver Nuggets or a BBQ brisket sandwich, part of the offerings that have drawn what USA Today calls a “cult-like following” in a May 16 report.

Either way, you’ll have to drive a few of hours to encounter the nearest Buc-ee’s.

Where’s the nearest Buc-ee’s to San Angelo?

San Angeloans have to drive about three hours and 15 minutes to the closest Buc-ee’s. It’s located at 4155 N. General Bruce Drive in Temple, Texas. The store and gas station is about 214 miles from San Angelo.

There is also a location at 2760 Interstate Highway 35 in New Braunfels if you want to take a trip around San Antonio. This store is about 237 miles from San Angelo — a nearly three and a half hour drive.
