After climbing back into the top 10 of last week’s national rankings, the Texas Tech basketball team took a tumble in the polls after an 0-2 showing to close the regular season.
The Red Raiders (22-9) dropped a 73-65 decision at home against TCU before having their comeback fall short at BYU in an 82-76 loss in Provo. Those losses put Texas Tech down to No. 14 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, released Monday.

In the Associated Press Top 25, Texas Tech is 16th overall.
Texas Tech has still been ranked every week of the season for the first time in program history. The Red Raiders will now turn their attention to the Big 12 Conference tournament, where they earned the No. 4 seed and a double bye into the quarterfinals where they’ll play either Iowa State, Baylor or Arizona State at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
