Here's how much rain is forecast for Corpus Christi this week

Corpus Christi was greeted with the sound of thunderstorms and beams of bright lightning June 16.

After several days without much precipitation in the Coastal Bend, rain has made its way to the area with the chance of more to come.

Here’s what the forecast is looking like, according to the National Weather Service of Corpus Christi.

The rain will clear up by June 17, with a high near 94 degrees and sunny skies. The heat index value will be near 107.

On June 18, there will still be sunny skies with a high of 93 and a low around 78. Wind gusts will be around 25 miles per hour for the day.

Juneteenth, June 19, will have a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The high will be near 91, and the low will be around 76.

The possibility of rain will continue June 20 with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The high will drop to around 88, and the low will be near 77.

The weekend is forecast to still have some rain with a 40% chance on June 21 and 30% chance June 22. The high for the former will be near 88, and the low will be around 77. For the latter, the high will be near 90, and the low will be around 78.
