Following the success of his latest Netflix special, Gabriel Iglesias: Legend of Fluffy, Iglesias announced he will bring his new comedy show to the Plaza Theatre next year.
Iglesias will bring The 1976 Tour: A Fluffy Celebration Thursday, Jan. 7. The show will start at 8 p.m.
Pre-sale tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4 and general tickets will sell at 10 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Ticketmaster.com
Iglesias was in El Paso in February as part of a collaboration with the Taco Palenque, when it opened at 7122 Gateway Blvd. E., Suite B.
The comedian drew quite a crowd of El Paso area fans who had fun meeting him and taking pictures. The comedian also had fun promoting a new taco named after him.
Iglesias is one of the world’s most successful stand-up comedians and one of the highest-grossing touring comedians of all time, according to a release. He is one of the most-watched comedians on YouTube, with over 2 billion views and over 34.6 million fans across social media.
He was the 3rd-highest-grossing comedian of 2024, according to Billboard.
Iglesias has been included in The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top 40 Comedy Players” issue alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels and was also honored with the cover of Variety’s comedy issue.
The comedian has had the honor of being one of the few to headline and sell-out Madison Square Garden in New York, Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and The Sydney Opera House in Australia.
