El Paso pools and water parks opening dates for 2026

El Paso swimming season will be in full swing, starting early May, with one pool kicking off with an event on Sunday, April 12.

The city’s popular water parks — Chapoteo, Lost Kingdom, Camp Cohen, and Oasis — will begin their pool season in May.

The Elmont Swim Club will open the 2026 swim season on Saturday, April 18 but will have an outdoor concert with open pool on Sunday, April 12.

Other venues, such as Wet N’ Wild and the Ascarate Pool, will open later in May.

Here is a good look at when El Paso area pools and splash pads will open for 2026.

Elmont Swim Club plans outdoor concert April 12

The Elmont Swim Club will have a special event (before the swim season opens on a week later), April 12, with Grammy Award-winning producer Purple Disco Machine. Doors and the pool will open at 4 p.m.

General admission tickets are $51.51, available at elmontsocial.com.

This year, the West Side resort will also debut indoor electronic music shows as part of a dynamic spring and summer schedule.

Purple Disco Machine will bring his signature blend of nu-disco and house music to the Elmont outdoor stage.

The spring lineup will continue with Sofi Tukker on Friday, April 24, delivering their globally celebrated fusion of electronic beats and live performance energy. The duo’s genre-blending sound and vibrant stage presence are expected to draw fans from across the region.

Crankdat with special guest and El Paso record producer Riot Ten will perform at a night pool party, starting at 8 p.m. May 1.

Pre-summer pool hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and then starting Memorial Day weekend, it will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

City water parks including Chapoteo to open in May

The city’s four water parks will open in May. Chapoteo, at 1225 Giles Road, will open on Saturday, May 2. Lost Kingdom, at 6001 Hughey Drive, will open on Saturday, May 9. Camp Cohen, 9700 Gateway Blvd N., and Oasis, at 13501 Jason Crandall Drive, will open on Saturday, May 16.

The city’s splashpads and Pavo Real outdoor aquatic center will open May 23, as part of Memorial Day weekend. 

Wet N’ Wild opens May 2 for 2026 swim season

Wet N’ Wild Waterworld will open for the summer on Saturday, May 2. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

From there, the water park will be open weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through May 22. Pricing at the gate is $44, including tax, for ages 4 and up, $49, including tax, for weekends and holidays. $10, including tax, for toddlers, ages 1 to 3. Babies under 1 year get in free.

Ascarate Aquatic Center will open Memorial Day weekend 2026

Ascarate Pool, at 6900 Delta Drive, will open for the summer on Sunday, May 24. The pool will be open weekends after that through June 14.

General pool admission will be $3 for adults, 18 and older. Veterans, military, first responders and county employees with ID get a discounted price of $2. Youths 17 and under and seniors 60 and older with ID also pay $2.

Outlet Shoppes Splash Pad now open

The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso has its splash pad water attraction, shooting eight feet of water into the air, now open in the center court area, in front of Nike and Gap.

It is open every day, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.

The attraction operates on a 30-minute-on, 15-minute-off cycle throughout the day. On weekends, the center adds to the fun by placing beach balls in the water area for families to enjoy.

Guests are encouraged to bring the whole family, wear water shoes, and come ready to play as they enjoy the open-air shopping experience at one of El Paso’s premier retail destinations.

El Paso Zoo has Hunt Family Desert Spring splash area

The El Paso Zoo has its Hunt Family Desert Spring water feature with gushers, spray tunnels, and pop-ups open during warm weather.

The El Paso Zoo & Botanical Gardens is making it easier than ever to plan your next wild adventure with new daily hours starting Monday, March 30.

The Zoo will now be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last entry at 4 p.m. The change gives guests more opportunities to stroll, explore, and say hello to your favorite animals, whether you’re a weekend wanderer or a weekday explorer. The Zoo is now open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last entry at 4 p.m.
