Duos Edge data center
What: Duos Edge Technologies unveiled a data center, which officials said use no water and only as much electricity as a local McDonald’s.

Glam Gardens
What: This is a new salon and boutique offering hair and nail services.

Inn Town Lofts
What: What once stood as a historic spot for Lubbock tourists has been revitalized after decades of disuse, and will now serve as affordable housing after a $22.6 million renovation.
When: May 12.

Kick’n Koffee
What: Described as a coffee barn, this coffee shop offers a variety of drinks and snacks.
When: May 11.
Where: 3212 Woodrow Road.
Loft 22 second location
What: This beauty bar and boutique, from Wolfforth, opened their second location. The new place is the first in Lubbock.
When: May 2.
Where: 6305 66th St., #700.
Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream
What: Millie’s specializes in grass-fed dairy ice creams and dairy-free gelato available by scoop and pint. It also offers homemade waffle cones, shakes, sundaes, and a full coffee and tea bar.

RIEU Viet Fusion
What: This Vietnamese fusion restaurant opened.
When: May 24.
Where: 6616 Milwaukee Ave, Suite 400.
Robinson Strings
What: Robinson Strings served the area since 1979. The shop moved from 3602 Slide Road, No. B-11 to 5102 Salem Ave.

Total Wine & More
What: Total Wine & More is the largest independent fine wine, spirits and beer retailer in the nation. The new store is the 41st in Texas and created 25 jobs in Lubbock.

Zoomie Zone
What: From the same owners as K9Care LBK, this indoor dog park allows dogs to get their zoomies out in any weather.

Burlington Stores
Announced: Burlington Stores, Inc., a New Jersey-based retail chain, announced that it will open a second location at 11915 Quaker Ave. in the spring.
Dick’s Sporting Goods
Announced: This sports shop appeared on the site plan review agenda, indicating it will open in the South Plains Mall.
The Forge Athletic Complex
Announced: A new sports complex with basketball and volleyball courts announced a location coming in early 2027. The location will be at 104th & Milwaukee Ave. A website is online at theforgelbk.com.
