In the never ending world of roster churning, the Cowboys are adding center Wesley French to their practice squad as insurance after the loss of starting center Cooper Beebe. The second-year Kansas State product was placed on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury against the Giants in Week 2. It will sideline him an estimated 6-to-8 weeks.
French 28, was an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan in 2022 who appeared in 17 games with Indianapolis back in 2023 and started three games for the Colts that season. He has not played in a regular season game since but is familiar with Cowboys offensive coordinator Klayton Adams, who was part of that Colts staff when French got to see action in Indy.

Dallas worked out center Jacob Bayer and Guard Thomas Perry as well but opted for French, possibly due to the familiarity with the staff and experience with the position.
Brock Hoffman is expected to replace Beebe in the starting lineup for the time being but Dallas didn’t have anyone else on the roster who has played a single snap at center in a regular season game.
That is until French arrived who has recorded 266 snaps at the position and for the time being, may be the first option called upon if anything hereto happen to Hoffman.
