Texas A&M’s 2027 recruiting class is already ranked 2nd nationally in the early stages, and while the focus is on landing elite prospects at every position, head coach Mike Elko and his staff are looking to land two of the top-ranked cornerback recruits and have already received a prediction to land five-star cornerback John Meredith.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that blue-chip four-star cornerback Raylaun Henry, who recently placed Texas A&M in his top six program list, has announced his commitment for Saturday, November 15, the same day the Aggies will host South Carolina after consecutive road tests against LSU and Missouri over the next three weeks.
Amid Texas A&M’s 7-0 start and 4-0 record in SEC play, Elko has utilized all five home games this season, resulting in commitments from four-star cornerback Hakim Frampton and four-star defensive tackle Elijah Patmon. Combined with Meredith, the Aggies are expected to land four-star running back Landen Williams-Callis and four-star offensive lineman Albert Simien.
Henry is already several games into his junior season at the prestigious St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, and has received nearly offers from every blue-blood program in the country. Henry is coming off his unofficial visit to College Station during Texas A&M’s 34-17 win over Florida, which included an elite performance from the Aggies’ defense, especially in the secondary.
According to 247Sports, Raylaun Henry is currently positioned as the 18th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the No. 3-ranked cornerback, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Maryland.
