1 Lubbock CVS Pharmacy is closing. Here's when, what to know.

Letters went out to customers recently, stating one of Lubbock’s CVS Pharmacy locations would be closing this month. Here’s what we know about the closure.

The CVS Pharmacy at 3402 50th St. sent letters to customers early this month, stating that the location would close on Oct. 21. It directed customers to other locations, and stated prescription records would be sent to the CVS location listed in the letter.

An employee at the store confirmed that the entire store would be closing, and a sale on current inventory is ongoing. Employees will be transferred to other locations after the closure.

How many CVS Pharmacy stores are in Lubbock?

As of Monday, there are 10 CVS locations in Lubbock. Those locations are:

The company initially announced hundreds of closures across the brand in 2021, which would happen over a three-year period.

This closure follows the recent closures of a Starbucks at 6005 Slide Road, Tommy’s Famous Burgers at 117 University Ave., and the pending closure of Lubbock’s Executive Inn.
