Theme for the Aug. 14 event was “Red, White & Birdie!” It was a fitting theme for the golf format called “COLORAMMA.” Each player was assigned a color and played their own ball. The individual scores were recorded on the upper part of the score card. Each flag on the greens had a colored star pinned to the flag which revealed which score to record for the “team.”

Hole 14 was a team strategy, with each player selecting one club to play the entire hole.

First place went to the team with Nancy Polosky, Kathy Burtscher, Debbie Wood and Connie Poto, with a score of 44. Each winning team member received a $20 gift card to the Tannenhauf Golf Course. Members of the last place team, Loretta Crosser, Sue Snode, Kathy Stroia and Mary Kay Kunar, received $10 gift cards to the Tannenhauf Golf Course.

Proximity prizes were awarded for:

Closest to the pin #11 – Jenny Skolosh (Flight A, almost a hole in one); Debbie Wood (Flight B); Janet Howard (Flight C); and Mary Kay Kunar (Flight D).

Longest second shot #16 – Nancy Polosky (Flight A); Suzanne Bergert (Flight B); Kathy Stroia (Flight C) and Erma Hastings (Flight D).

Longest putt #18 – Jenny Skolosh (Flight A); Martha Palmer (Flight B); Jeani Zaluski (Flight C); and Connie Poto (Flight D).

Each player received a golf club brush that attaches to a golf bag.
