At the Lindner Family Tennis Center on May 21 and 23, Cincinnati’s top boys tennis players will compete in the district tournament, shooting for a top-four finish to qualify for the Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournament.
The postseason kicked off with the Division I and II sectional tournaments at Lindner, Mason, Centerville and Troy. The top four placers in those tournaments qualified for the district brackets.
Here are the sectional winners and other district qualifiers in the 2026 postseason.
Mason sectional boys tennis results
Mason senior Greg Bernadsky, last year’s Division I singles state champion, was the singles sectional champion, beating sophomore teammate Janek Teply in the finals.
Bernadsky didn’t drop a set through his first two matches and Teply was unscathed through three matches. Bernadsky walked over through the semifinals after Sycamore freshman Kevin Zhou withdrew. That left Zhou as the fourth-place finisher, as Moeller’s Adam Anastasia won the third-place match with a walkover as well.
Teply gave Bernadsky a battle in the opening set, but the defending state champion took the sectional 7-5, 6-0.
In the Division I doubles side, a pair of Mason squads and Sycamore squads will go at it.
Sycamore juniors Abi Dinesh and Jake Farquhar were the sectional victors, beating Mason’s Sean Fu and Shreyas Mantha 6-1, 6-2 in the finals. In the third-place match, Sycamore also won with sophomores Eric Kai and Truman Sayles beating Ryan Buckingham and Evan Wei 7-6, 6-3.
In the Division II singles bracket, Mariemont junior Paxton Lesseuer dropped the first championship set against McNicholas senior Ryan Schnizer but rebounded to win the sectional 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. Waynesville senior Ryan Frazier beat Madeira junior Alessandro Caggioni 6-3, 6-4 in the third-place match.
Wyoming doubles pair Adam Klaus and Jack O’Neil, listed on the bracket as the No. 4 seed, won the sectional crown. Klaus and O’Neil beat the top seeds from Mariemont 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 in the semifinals before taking down Matteo Caggioni and Peter Mattson of Madeira 6-1, 6-2 in the finals.
Wyoming’s Zach Weiskopf and Arwin Xu beat Hugo Ellis and Max Welch, the Mariemont pair, in the third-place match.

In the Division I singles final at the Linder Center, Loveland freshman Bode Zappin was victorious, beating Fairfield sophomore Josef Alkuino 6-0, 6-3 in the championship. Lakota East’s Ethan Vass took third, beating Milford’s Koen Dominguez 6-0, 6-4.
In doubles, St. Xavier dominated, with three of the four district qualifiers coming from the Bombers.
Carson Dwyer and Nihal Narisetty finished in first place, beating fellow Bombers Henry Brandt and Conor Lynch in the finals 6-2, 6-1. Third place also went to St. Xavier. Gus Demis and David Ivanov won 6-1, 6-3 against Walnut Hills’ Jacob Peerless and Andrew Sehlhorst.
Summit Country Day senior Tyler Lammers beat Indian Hill senior Eli Camp 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 in the Division II singles final. Zander Chan from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy beat Adi Nayak from Seven Hills after Nayak retired after a set in the third-place match.
Just like the Bombers in Division I, Indian Hill dominated Division II doubles, securing the top three placers.
Neelan Gandhi and Gareth Kurowski were the winning duo, beating Vedant Buch and Will Jordan 6-1, 6-0 for the sectional crown. The third-place match went to Yousef Moussa and Jeremy Starczynowski 6-3, 6-0 over Seven Hills freshmen Leo Cai and Bryan Zhang.
Centerville sectional boys tennis results
After being heavily dominated by Greater Cincinnati players in the first two sectional locations, there is much less local representation in the Centerville sectional, with no locals qualifying for districts in the Troy sectional.
In the Division I singles at Centerville, Springboro senior Amir Nazarov placed fourth, dropping to sectional winner Timothy Lee of Centerville in the finals and to Bellbrook senior Jonah Grismer in the third-place match.
In Division I doubles, a pair of Springboro teams made the district cut. Juniors Peyton Nelson and Brady Mullins finished as the runner-up duo, falling to Centerville’s Jake Critchfield and Luke Edwards in the finals 7-5, 5-6, 6-4. Isaac Hurlburt and Cayden Lipsky finished in fourth.
