Area communities will celebrate the Fourth of July and America 250 with parades and fireworks, plus an assortment of other activities.
Fremont plans historic parade, fireworks
Fremont and Sandusky County will host a parade in downtown Fremont called “America through the Decades” at 10 a.m. July 4. The parade will line up period vehicles, reenactors, floats and more for the parade. The parade recognizes the country from 1776 to 2026. It starts outside Rodger Young Park on Tiffin Street and will end at the corner of Front and Croghan. For more information, visit sanduskycounty.org/am250.
The city will end the day with a bang as fireworks will be set off at dusk and will be visible from Rodger Young and Walsh Park.
Hayes plans its own busy day
The Rutherford B. Hayes Museum will also have an assortment of events on July Fourth ranging from a speaker on Colonial Days to the Signers of the Declaration of Independence. Other activities will include a 2 p.m. concert by the Toledo Concert Band featuring members of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.

Clyde plans fun afternoon, evening wrapping up with fireworks
In Clyde’s Community Park, activities begin on July 4 from 1-11 p.m., plus a beer tent open during the same hours at the open shelter house. Six food trucks will be set up at the park.
From 2-5 p.m., there will be live music with Mike Risner. Jessica Hannan will be live from 7-11 p.m. Inflatables from Air Extreme Ohio will be available from 3-9 p.m.
Youths can touch a truck or two during the afternoon
Touch a Truck will be 4-7 p.m., with vehicles from Clyde Fire Department, Clyde Police, Sandusky County EMS, Clyde General Services Department and Clyde Light and Power.
Kids activities begin at 6 p.m. with a sack race, tug-of-war, relay race, and water balloon toss.
Fireworks top the night at 10 p.m.
Green Springs to celebrate July 3
The Village of Green Springs, the volunteer fire department and Fourth of July Committee will host a parade, music, activities and fireworks on July 3. Events are planned at the Catherine Street fire station.
The parade will be at 2:30 p.m. starting at Green Springs Elementary School. Other afternoon activities will include a county line tug-of-war, Bingo and music at 3 p.m.
Rockwall slated for Green Springs
The beer tent and music will run from 3 p.m. to midnight. The Patriotic Duck Hunt also is scheduled at 3 p.m. At 4 p.m., there will be a meet and greet with ProMedica Air, Seneca County EMS, Police K9 and the Sandusky County Drone Team.
Organizers also have a 25-foot rock wall lined up and 20-foot ball pit for children. From 4-8 p.m., there will be five super-bounce trampolines and a 22-foot tall inflatable slide, a bounce house and fire truck train ride.
Registration opens for the Kiddie Tractor Pull at 4:30 p.m., with the pull starting at 5 p.m.
Old Skool will perform from 6-10 p.m. Fireworks will be shot off at dusk.
Woodville lines up July Fourth events
The 84th Woodville 4th of July Celebration will happen July 4, with the grand parade starting at 12 p.m.
Other events include a 2-5 p.m. car show July 4 at Trail Marker Park; a 5K race and One Mile Kids Fun Run after 7 p.m. July 3 that will start at Cherry Street bridge; and fireworks at dusk July 2.
The festival opens July 1. Other activities include a beer garden, rides and live entertainment. For a full schedule, go to woodville4th.org.
