Each team will have eight minutes to make a selection in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.
It’s a change that was made by the league, which reduced the time by two minutes. The goal is to speed up the opening round, which typically drags on despite only 32 picks being made.
Dexter Lawrence trade details
The Cincinnati Bengals announced April 19 that the team acquired Dexter Lawrence after the three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle passed his physical at Paycor Stadium.
Cincinnati agreed to the trade with the New York Giants on April 18, sending New York its No. 10 overall pick. Lawrence, 28, will be under contract with the club through the 2028 season.
He will make $28 million a year in Cincinnati, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
