With football season being right around the corner, more Ohio State football players are getting some preseason attention.
Ohio State placed three players on On3’s 2026 preseason All-America team, with star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith being a first-team selection. Smith was joined by offensive lineman Luke Montgomery, who made it to the second team, and Austin Siereveld, who landed on the third team.
Ohio State is expected to have one of the top offensive teams in college football this season and these preseason honors reinforce how dangerous the offense can potentially be.
Smith’s inclusion comes as little surprise as he’s a Heisman front-runner and has emerged as one of the best players in the nation. In the last two years, Smith has gotten 163 receptions, 2,528 receiving yards and 27 touchdown catches.
Montgomery was also selected as a second-team preseason All-American by Sporting News and Siereveld has already received first-team preseason recognition from Walter Camp Football Foundation and second-team honors from both Athlon Sports and Sporting News.
On3’s preseason team was selected by national college football writer Chris Low.
