Springfield Township police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 40-year-old man accused of shooting and hospitalizing an unidentified victim the afternoon of July 8, according to a Facebook post from the department.
The suspect, Stanley “Chance” Smith, 40, is wanted for felonious assault after shooting the victim at about 3 p.m. on Albrecht Avenue, police reported. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Smith, who was wearing a gray T-shirt and checkered shorts at the time of the incident, also has a swastika tattoo. He was last seen near the intersection of Albrecht Avenue and Fritsch Drive, across from San Marino Italian Restaurant, fleeing the scene on foot.
Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities are unsure where Smith is in Springfield Township or if he has left the area, but area residents are advised to remain cautious and vigilant while authorities continue their search.
“If you live in the area please keep your vehicles and homes locked,” the police department said in the post. “If you see anyone matching this description, do not approach and call 911 immediately,”
