See which local players were named to the All-Southeast District for baseball and softball

Several local players made the All-Southeast District lists that were recently released.

In Division III, Andrea Morgan, of Chillicothe, was named Coach of the Year.

On the first team in DIII are Chillicothe’s CJ Rittinger and Unioto’s Kendal Walker. On the second team are Chillicothe’s Vivian Morgan and Cadie Boltenhouse, along with Unioto’s Haylee Hull and Mackenzie Welch. On the honorable mention list are Unioto’s Macie Cox and Chillicothe’s Alyssa Dudley.

In Division IV, Waverly’s Lexi Smith was named to the first team, while her teammate Ava Robertson was second team. Making the honorable mention list are Waverly’s Whitley Brown and Addi Hudnell.

In Division V, Adena’s Marly Halcomb, Piketon’s Aubrey Heath and Jaylin Forbes, Westfall’s Gabby Henry, Zane Trace’s Haylynn Boggess-Pierce, Southeatern’s Kylie Williams and Huntington’s Savannah Bushatz were all given first team honors. On the second team are: Huntington’s Allie Baker, Zane Trace’s Brynn Wipert, Piketon’s Kyndall Carroll and Addy Blakeman. Named to the honorable mention list are Adeana’s Adelyn Nelson and Adrian Guarnier, Huntington’s Taylor Tisdale and Leah McCloskey, Southeastern’s Jade turner and Lydia Williams, Zane Trace’s Maddie Williams and Westfall’s Anna Snyder and Adrina Hicks.

In Division VI, Paint Valley’s Sophi Stauffer was named to the first team. On the second team are Paint Valley’s Kyla Littler and Kasarah Cantrell.

In baseball, on the first team in Division II/III is Chillicothe’s Mason Brown. On the second team is Chillicothe’s Trent Wade. Special mentions were Chillicothe’s Vincent Haller and Timothy Barr.

Unioto’s coach Tony Taylor was named Coach of the Year in Division IV.

On the first team in DIV are Unioto’s KB Perkins and Keegan Snyder, Waverly’s Hunter Hauck and Kage Alexander, along with Westfall’s AJ Pluta and Noah Stonerock. On the second team are Unioto’s Jaxon Zickafoose and Blake Sanders, along with Westfall’s Mason Wright. Waverly’s Braylon Spriggs and Unioto’s Jack Welch were named as honorable mentions. Special mentions are Unioto’s Caden Cutright and Ethan Puckett, Waverly’s Wil Armstrong and Mason Sparks, Westfall’s Jaden Towler and Brenden Tuttle.

In Division V, first teamers are Piketon’s Zack Hannah, Zane Trace’s Gunnar McCullough, Lukas Oiler and Josh Young. On the second team are Piketon’s Mason Roberts and Jace Ritchie and Zane Trace’s Pierce Manson. Honorable mention went to Piketon’s Buddy Wilson and Zane Trace’s Landon Jarrell. Special mention went to Piketon’s Grayson Roberts and Wayde Fout.

In Division VI, Huntington’s Chad Carroll was the Co-Coach of the Year with Manchester’s Trey Meade.

Adena’s Austin Magill and Colton Garrison, along with Huntington’s Brayden Elliott and Troy McDonald, and Southeastern’s Carston McWhorter were first team. On the second team were Huntington’s Matthew Jordan and Seth Throckmorton. Adena’s Marcus Jackson was an honorable mention, along with Southeastern’s Gage Cheadle. Adena’s Christian Heath was a special mention, along with Southeastern’s Lane Williams and Joey Pfeifer.

In Division VII, Paint Valley’s Preston Fauber was first team. Jase Rinehart of Paint Valley was named to the second team. Special mention included Paint Valley’s Willy Wheaton and Carson Free.
