A crash has closed a busy Akron thoroughfare.
The city says a crash has brought down a utility pole on East Market Street near downtown.
Officials said East Market Street was closed as of 3 p.m. Monday between North Prospect Street and Union Street.
Crews say it could be a “couple” of hours before the roadway reopens.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
No other details of the crash were immediatelly available.
