Rosé the day away with Summer Water, a French-style dry rosé | Phil Your Glass

Now that Ohio’s three days of spring weather are over, it’s time to get ready for the arrival of summer – Summer Water Rosé, that is.

You can think pink all year-round. However, summer is the time to rosé the day away on the patio or at the pool.

This $18.99 bottle is the perfect warm weather sipper. It’s a traditional French-style dry rosé made from grenache and Syrah grapes sourced from choice vineyards located along California’s Central Coast from Santa Barbara to Monterey.

I have been enjoying this wine on several occasions, even though summer doesn’t officially arrive until June 20. It’s a glass pour at Vinifera Wine and Whiskey Bar in Cuyahoga Falls and pairs amazingly well with their Tuscan Chicken crostini. Their Sweet n Spicy Goat Cheese crostini with house-made jalapeño jam is another awesome choice.

This wine’s seductive aromas of fresh strawberry and ripe raspberry were just too irresistible. I picked up another bottle to have with wasabi ahi tuna poke and savory olive oil tortas from the Market District. (I discovered the tortas at a recent Euro USA food show in Independence.) The mouthwatering citrus flavors of the wine are the perfect way to tame the spicy wasabi and as well as the summer heat.

Hip, hip, rosé! That’s all I have left to say.

Buy this wine at Beau’s Bistro & Bar in Copley, both Mustard Seed Market locations, Krieger’s Market in Cuyahoga Falls, Heinen’s in Hudson and Aurora, Top Shelf of Ohio in Jackson Township,  Whole Foods Market 365 in Akron, Avenue Wine Shop and Meyers Lake Beverage in Canton, and by the glass at Vinifera Wine and Whiskey Bar in Cuyahoga Falls.
