Risk of Ohio flooding rising as more rain approaches, NWS forecasts

Portions of central and southern Ohio remain under a flood watch as heavy rain continues to pelt the area, increasing the risk of flash flooding.

In a May 22 update, the National Weather Service in Wilmington warned that wet ground conditions from previous rainfall could raise the flash flood risk in affected areas. Flood warnings have been issued in some parts of the Cincinnati region as of 7:30 p.m. May 22.
