Post Office and METRICH intercept parcel with 2 kilos of pills/meth

A Richland County man was arrested after U.S. Postal Inspection Service officials from Cleveland alerted METRICH, who intercepted a parcel with two kilos of pills containing methamphetamine.

On Tuesday, March 10, the METRICH and the U.S. Postal inspectors assisted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and members of ASORT executed a search warrant at 4232 Lucas Perrysville Road, according to a news release.

Benjamin Radojcsics, 41, was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, a first-degree felony, and incarcerated at the Richland County Jail pending his appearance in court.

Evidence was seized and further charges may be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office once the investigation is completed, the news release said.

Radojcsics was arraigned in Mansfield Municipal Court Wednesday where cash and personal recognizance bonds were set at $1 million. Electronic monitoring and no contact with alleged victim(s) also were conditions of the bond, according to court records.

METRICH Commander Lt. Steve Blust said the collaboration between the federal law enforcement agencies and the METRICH Enforcement Unit continues to have a positive impact in removing illegal drugs from coming into the Richland County communities.
