Police arrest 2 men a month after fatal daytime shooting in Avondale

Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal daytime shooting in Avondale.

Isaiah Harper, 34, and Tajuan Zanders, 31, have been arrested in the killing of 27-year-old Quinton Nathanial Shouse, according to a statement from Cincinnati police.

Police said that just after 12 p.m. on Oct. 6, Shouse was found shot in the 800 block of Ridgeway Avenue. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Hamilton County Detention Center records show Harper was booked into the jail on Nov. 3 and is facing drug and murder charges. He is being held on bonds totaling $1.9 million but is only required to pay $190,000 to be released. He must wear an ankle monitor if he post bond.

Zanders was booked into jail on Nov. 6. He is being held on a $2 million bond for a murder charge and must pay $200,000, as well as a $5,000 bond for an assault charge, to be released. He will be required to wear an ankle monitor if he posts bond.
