Glass in Flight Exhibit at Kingwood Center, through Sept. 7, Kingwood Center Gardens, 50 N. Trimble Road, Mansfield. The exhibit is free with paid admission to the gardens. The exhibit features sculptures celebrating pollinators and the beauty of the natural world; some are never-before-seen pieces, including a new monarch butterfly and bats with six-foot wingspans. Over 40 stunning sculptures will create arches and groupings or be showcased as individual pieces. New Pittsburg Fire & Rescue Auxiliary Homemade Ice Cream Festival, 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, Community Fire Station, 3311 N. Elyria Road. Civil War Round Table, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, Wayne County Historical Society Schoolhouse, 546 E. Bowman St.Discover the courageous legacy of a family that operated an Ohio Underground Railroad station helping hundreds of escaping from slavery. The story is told by Martha Matty Morris Townsend, a child at the time of the Civil War.
