One-vehicle crash on Ohio 586 claims the life of an Utica woman

ZANESVILLE – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident in Licking Township.

Kathryn J. Jenkins, 75, of Utica, was driving northbound on Ohio 586 around 6:30 p.m. Aug. 7, according to an announcement from the patrol.

Jenkins was driving an GMC Envoy when she reportedly traveled off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned near mile maker 1. She succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Licking Township Fire Department, Licking Township EMS, Muskingum County Coroner’s Office, SRS Services, and Carol’s Towing, all responded to the scene.
