CANTON — The McKinley Bulldogs hosted the GlenOak Golden Eagles in a Federal League game Friday, Sept. 12 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

With each team playing its second consecutive game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium – GlenOak and McKinley both picked up wins at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Classic in Week 3 – it was the Bulldogs rolling to a 38-0 win on their home field.

McKinley defeats GlenOak

McKinley defeats GlenOak 38-0 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. McKinley improves to 3-1 while GlenOak falls to 1-3. Darius Hill had a big game for the Bulldogs. Hill caught 10 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown, returned four punts for 115 yards and ran for a 34-yard TD. Kyelin West ran for 93 yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts. The McKinley defense shutout GlenOak and forced three interceptions. Chris Crook had two picks and Marquese Jackson had one for the Bulldogs. The Golden Eagles were limited to 42 yards of total offense and three first downs. The GlenOak defense intercepted three passes, as Sean Leahy intercepted two and RJ Hairston intercepted one for GlenOak.

McKinley initiates running clock

Darius Hill takes off for 34-yard touchdown run on a scrum out of the backfield after a GlenOak punt. It was a strange play. GlenOak tackled another player in the backfield. Hill stood still and all of a sudden just took untouched into the end zone. Great design. McKinley leads GlenOak 31-0 with 8:29 to play at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

McKinley forced to punt

The Bulldogs had a long touchdown run by Issac Brooks called back on a holding penalty. A personal foul for pulling players off the pile moved the Bulldog offense back further. The end result is a punt and GlenOak takes over at its own 14-yard line with 10:15 to play. McKinley leads 24-0.

Third quarter complete

McKinley leads GlenOak 24-0. Bulldogs have it second-and-7 at their own 46-yard line.

McKinley defense holds and forces three-and-out

The Bulldogs get the ball back after a punt at the GlenOak 48-yard line with 2:13 left in the third quarter. McKinley leads 24-0.

GlenOak forces turnover on downs

The GlenOak defense stops McKinley on a fourth-and-1 play from the 11-yard line. The Golden Eagle offense will take over down 24-0 with 3:01 to play in the third quarter.

Marquese Jackson intercepts GlenOak at the 31-yard line and returns it to the Golden Eagle 20. McKinley takes over with a 24-0 lead

McKinley drives into GlenOak territory before the drive stalls. The punt rolls into the end zone and the Golden Eagles take over at their own 20. McKinley leads 24-0 with 4:56 left in the third quarter.

Chris Crook records second interception for McKinley

Pressure on the quarterback forces a bad throw near the end zone and Chris Crook makes the interception for McKinley. The Bulldogs will take over at the 12-yard line with a 24-0 lead and 10:07 left in the third quarter.

Sean Leahy intercepts McKinley to start third quarter

GlenOak’s Sean Leahy comes down with his second interception of the game. The Golden Eagles will have the ball first-and-10 at the McKinley 24-yard line. McKinley leads 24-0 with 10:53 left in the third quarter. That is the third interception overall tonight for GlenOak.

Second half set to get underway at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium

We are just about to get back to play. McKinley leads GlenOak 24-0. The Bulldogs will receive the kickoff to start the third quarter.

McKinley leads GlenOak 24-0 at the break. Darius Hill is having an amazing game for the Bulldogs. Hill has six catches for 74 yards and a touchdown. He has also returned three punts for 95 yards. Kyelin West has 46 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries for McKinley. GlenOak was limited to just 34 yards of total offense and two first downs in the first half. The Golden Eagle defense has played despite being put in some really bad positions. GlenOak has intercepted two passes. Sean Leahy and RJ Hairston had one each for the Golden Eagles. Chris Crook had an interception to set up the Mankowski field goal before half for McKinley. The Bulldogs will get the ball first to start the second half.

Mankowski makes a 27-yard field goal with just four seconds remaining in the first half. McKinley leads GlenOak 24-0.

Chris Crook intercepts GlenOak

Chris Crook intercepts GlenOak on the first play of the next drive. McKinley takes over with 3:07 left in the second quarter at the Bulldog 47-yard line. McKinley leads 21-0.

Xion Culver extends McKinley lead

Xion Culver runs for a 2-yard touchdown for the Bulldogs. The touchdown was set up by two key catches from Darius Hill. Hill caught a 7-yard pass on fourth-down to move the chains and then caught a 20-yard pass on the next series to take it down to the GlenOak1-yard line. McKinley leads 21-0 with 3:20 to play in the first half.

McKinley defense holds after turnover

McKinley forces a three-and-out. Darius Hill has a nice 20-yard punt return and McKinley takes over first-and-10 from the GlenOak 36-yard line. Bulldogs lead 14-0 with 8:35 left in the second quarter.

RJ Hairston intercepts McKinley

GlenOak forces a McKinley turnover. RJ Hairston comes down with the interception at the Golden Eagles 15. Second interception of the night for GlenOak. McKinley leads 14-0 with 8:35 left in the second quarter.

McKinley blocks GlenOak punt

GlenOak has a quick three-and-out and then has a punt blocked. McKinley takes over first-and-10 from the GlenOak 26-yard line with a 14-0 lead. 10:36 left in the first half.

Darius Hill extends lead for McKinley

Darius Hill catches an 8-yard touchdown on the first play of the second quarter from Trent Hayden. The Thomas Mankowski extra point attempt is good. McKinley leads GlenOak 14-0 with 11:55 to play in the first half. Hill has three catches for 36 yards and a touchdown so far. He also had the big punt return that set up the 1-yard touchdown run for McKinley by Kyelin West.

Bulldogs lead Golden Eagles after first quarter

McKinley leads GlenOak 7-0 after the first quarter. McKinley will have it second-and-goal from the GlenOak 8-yard line to start the second quarter.

McKinley in business again

The Bulldogs have it first-and-10 at the McKinley 47-yard line after forcing a three-and-out on defense. Darius Hill takes the fair catch. McKinley leads the Golden Eagles 7-0 with 3:27 left in the first quarter.

Kyelin West punches it in from 1-yard out on the first play after the big punt return by Darius Hill for McKinley. The extra point attempt is good by Thomas Mankowski after a 5-yard penalty. Mankowski is 12-for-12 on extra point attempts this season. The Bulldogs lead GlenOak 7-0 with 4:48 left in the first quarter.

McKinley’s Darius Hill has huge punt return

GlenOak will line up to punt from deep in its own territory after a quick series. The punt is taken at near midfield by McKinley’s Darius Hill. Hill returns it all the way down to the Golden Eagle 1-yard line after finding a seam on the side. McKinley sets up first-and-goal from the 1 with 4:51 left in the first quarter. No score.

The Bulldogs were driving but an interception by Sean Leahy gives GlenOak the ball first-and-10 at its own 8-yard line with 6:41 to go in the first quarter. No score.

GlenOak forced to punt on first drive

The Golden Eagles picked up a first down on a 15-yard facemask penalty on McKinley but the Bulldogs rally to stop GlenOak near midfield. McKinley recorded a sack to force the punt. McKinley takes over first-and-10 on its own 22 with 9:05 left in the first quarter. No score.
