It’s always a bonus when you have one of the best quarterbacks in the country coming back to Good ‘Ole State U, and that’s exactly what Ohio State head coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes have with Julian Sayin set to build on a redshirt freshman campaign that saw an invite to New York as a Heisman Finalist.
Though OSU didn’t reach two of its lofty goals of winning the Big Ten and another College Football Playoff national championship, there’s a lot that new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith can do on that side of the ball with Sayin embarking on his second season under center and building upon a remarkable 2025 year.
Some of the Fox Big Nook Kickoff crew sat down with Sayin this past week and touched on a lot of topics with the Ohio State signal caller, and we thought you might be interested to see what he said about transferring from Alabama, how he’s building more chemistry with his wide receivers, how he viewed the Michigan game going in last year, and more.
Watch the entire segment of the “Triple Option Podcast,” when Urban Meyer, Rob Stone, and Mark Ingram fire away at some intriguing questions during the offseason.
It’ll be interesting and exciting to see how Arthur Smith utilizes Sayin and how this offense looks this year with so many returning pieces, and we’ll be there for it all.
