The Ohio 83 and Milltown Road intersection will close beginning April 20, as part of the city of Wooster’s utility project.
Motorists will be detoured to Ohio 3 north to Ohio 604 west to Ohio 83.
The project is a city of Wooster project, not an Ohio Department of Transportation project. For updates on the city’s projects, check out the City of Wooster Facebook page.
Other ongoing projects in the area, according to ODOT, include:
Ohio 21 major rehabilitation: Ohio 21, from the Stark County line to the Summit County line, is a major reconstruction project. Work includes full-depth pavement replacement, bridge maintenance, culvert and drainage replacements, and safety improvements at four intersections along the project. Estimated completion: June 2026
Ohio 95 culvert repair: Ohio 95, just west of Snoddy Road, is closed for a culvert repair project. The detour route for eastbound motorists will be Ohio 95 to Ohio 179 south to Ohio 3 north to Ohio 95 and reverse for westbound motorists. Estimated completion: Friday, May 15.
Ohio 226 resurfacing: Ohio 226 from Ohio 3 to the Holmes County line will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers in a single 10-ft lane. Estimated completion: August 2026
Ohio 302 resurfacing: Ohio 302 from Old Lincoln Way to Camp Road, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: October 2026
