NWS issues flood warning for Cincinnati, Columbus, surrounding counties. What to know

It might rain cats and dogs in Ohio for the remainder of the week, and to be fully prepared, you might need more than your umbrella.

The National Weather Service office in Wilmington, Ohio, has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Central Ohio, South Central Ohio, Southwest Ohio, and West Central Ohio.

NWS issues flash flood warning for Ohio counties that include Cincinnati, Columbus

A flash flood warning is active until Tuesday, July 22, according to the NWS.

For Wednesday, July 16, the NWS predicts these counties will experience scattered showers and storms producing gusting winds.

Thursday, July 17, through Sunday, July 20, the NWS predicts several rounds of showers and storms across Ohio. The heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding.
