ACTION): Accepted the retirement of an administrator and hired a new principal and assistant principal.
DISCUSSION: The board accepted the retirement of Michelle Hostetler, director of instruction, effective Oct. 1. Hostetler has 34 years working in education, with nine of those years at North Canton City Schools.The board also hired Stephanie Garren as principal at North Canton Middle Schooland Ashley Mauger as assistant principal at North Canton Middle School under a two-year administrator contract, effective Aug. 1 through July 31, 2027.Garren was a principal with the Alliance City School district and Mauger was an assistant principal at Field Local Schools in Portage County. Both salaries were unavailable at the time of the meeting.
