OWENSBORO, KY. — Hayden Wickard threw two touchdown passes and ran for two TDs to help lead the Walsh University football team to a 31-7 win over Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, Sept. 20.
The Cavaliers led 17-0 at halftime and never looked back on their way to their third straight win to start the season. The victory came in their Great Midwest Athletic Conference opener.
Wickard threw TD passes to Trey Martin and William Butler. He threw for 124 yards and ran for 65 yards on 10 carries. Jake Gill also rushed for 65 yards on 13 carries for the Cavs.
Walsh’s other score came on a Jarrad Kerekes 44-yard field goal.
