ALLIANCE — D3football.com has named Mount Union sophomore quarterback Mikey Maloney to its 2026 preseason All-America second team.
Maloney was the Ohio Athletic Conference’s Bob Packard Most Outstanding Offensive Back and a first-team All-OAC selection as a freshman. He led the conference with 42 total touchdowns, including a conference-best 31 passing touchdowns. He also threw for 2,769 yards and finished with 3,321 total yards.
In his first season as a starter, Maloney helped lead Mount Union to a 10-0 regular season and a berth in the third round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
Running back Drew Miller of Heidelberg, center Quentin Lehman of Ohio Northern and linebacker Nolan Hartsel and linebacker George Linberger of Baldwin Wallace are the other OAC players on this year’s team.
