Motorcyclist dead after collision on Columbus' West Side

One person is dead following an accident involving a motorcycle June 16 on Columbus’ West Side.

At around 10:41 a.m., a Buick Enclave was traveling eastbound on Sullivant Avenue when the driver made a left turn to travel northbound onto Wilson Road, according to a news release from Columbus police.

At the same time, a Honda motorcycle was traveling westbound on Sullivant Avenue, approaching Wilson Road when the two vehicles collided, police said.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle, police said. Medics from the Columbus Division of Fire arrived on scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist has not been publicly identified. The Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
