Fremont’s Good Trouble Lives On rally, honoring the memory and birthday of Congressman John Lewis, was held at Front and State streets on July 17.
“People are concerned about what’s going on, and with the passage of the ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’ we expect to have much more interest in our rallies,” rally organizer Brian Earhart said.
Between 40 and 50 protesters lined State Street at Front Street Thursday evening.
The protest was sponsored locally by People for Peace and Justice and Pro-Democracy Sandusky County.
Food donations were collected at the event for distribution to local food pantries. The organizers are planning another rally for July 26 at the same corner in downtown Fremont.
