A Mogadore man has been sentenced to prison for receiving and distributing sexually explicit photos of children through a social media platform, federal authorities announced Sept. 9.
U.S. District Judge Bridget Meehan Brennan in Cleveland sentenced Adam Kline, 23, to 12 years in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s office for Northern Ohio said in a news release. Kline pleaded guilty in May to receipt and distribution of visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and to possession of child pornography.

Kline was also ordered to serve 15 years of supervised release after imprisonment, pay $23,000 in special assessments, and pay $3,000 in restitution to one identified victim.
The distribution occurred from Jan. 9 to May 21, 2024, the release states. At least one image involved a prepubescent child under 12.
Federal agents discovered several accounts on a popular social media platform that were associated with Kline, where he was distributing child pornography, the release states. Investigators determined that about 675 sadistic and masochistic images of child porn were in Kline’s possession.
The FBI Akron Field Office conducted the investigation that led to the indictment.
