Meet Damian: This week’s adoptable dog from the Marion County Dog Pound.
Damian is a 11-month-old pit bull mix is looking for a life-long friend to take him home.
While he hasn’t been around for long, Damian has had a bit of a rough beginning to life. He was recently surrendered to the Marion County Dog Pound after his owner’s health declined. Before that, Damian lived with his owner in a car.
Despite the the tough start, Damian hasn’t let it get him down. He’s just as playful as any puppy and even has a silly quirk: When you give Damian a treat, he doesn’t just eat it — he tosses it up into the air, turning it into a toy.
While he’s still young, Damian has learned to sit and shake, but still needs to learn some leash manners. He’s open to meeting kids and dogs, and can be cat tested if needed.
To meet Damian or any of the other dogs at the Marion County Dog Pound, stop by in person at 2252 Richland Road or give the pound a call at 740-386-6150. The pound is open 12-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays.
