LOUISVILLE − The real estate market in Constitution Town is blazing.
The community is one of the hottest ZIP codes in the nation for housing this year, according to a new report released Aug. 10 by Realtor.com.
The 44641 ZIP code — which covers Louisville, nearly all of Nimishillen Township and some parts of surrounding townships — ranks No. 29 in the “2026 Hottest ZIP Codes” report, which takes into account number of views of Realtor.com listings and the median number of days listings are active before being removed often due to a sale or the owner taking the listing off the market.
“In general, we see that the Canton area and Louisville area is struggling with supply keeping up with demand,” said Hannah Jones, senior economist for Realtor.com. “We see that buyers are looking for suburban areas or towns that have that established character, that old school charm where buyers can get more of that lifestyle appeal but still within a commuting distance of a major metro area.”
The number of views for listings in the 44641 ZIP code from Jan. 1 to June 30 this year was 3.66 times the national median, Jones said. Realtor.com does not provide the actual number of views, considering the data proprietary.
But the median number of days that listings in 44641 were active on Realtor.com was 34 days. The median listing asking price for 44641 the first half of this year was $269,000.
Mayor Corey Street: ‘Good story to tell’
“I think Louisville has a good story to tell,” said Louisville Mayor Corey Street, who highlighted his city’s population growth from about 9,300 a decade ago to nearly 10,000 now. “When people look for homes, they want safe communities. They want good schools. I think Louisville has both of those. It’s been reflected in our growth. … It just shows Louisville is a great place to work, live and do business.”
The city’s location between Canton and Alliance, and being near U.S. Route 62 and Interstate 77, is attractive for home builders, Street said.
He also cited as factors the city’s park system, available land for construction, new library, strong police and fire safety forces, new fire station, community celebrations, and 2% income tax rate, which is lower than the rate in Canton and Akron.
The mayor said Louisville is a close-enough commute to Canton, Massillon, North Canton and Akron. But it has a quieter and safe “small-town America” environment that attracts residents.
What other Ohio cities are among Realtor.com’s hottest ZIP codes?
The only Ohio ZIP code ranking higher than Louisville is at No. 18, Wadsworth (44281) in Medina County.

The top ranked ZIP code is 01960 in Peabody, Massachusetts. The rest of the top five are: Montclair, New Jersey (07042); Sewell, New Jersey (08080); Fairport, New York (14450); and Westfield, Massachusetts (01085).
Jones said many Midwestern ZIP codes made the top 50 because they have among the most affordable listings in the country, as the region recovers from the decades-long decline of manufacturing.
