COLUMBUS – Licking County again was filled with top-tier baseball talent this spring, and the coaches across Ohio took notice.
Licking Valley’s Adam Arcuri was named Division IV Coach of the Year, and Granville’s Wilson Wells was named Division III Player of the Year when the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association recently released its All-Ohio teams.
Arcuri was honored after leading Valley to its third consecutive Licking County League-Buckeye Division championship. The Panthers repeated as district champions for the first time in program history despite graduating a standout senior class, including its top two pitchers from 2025.
Wells, a senior, continued to be a two-way standout for Granville, and he particularly shined at the plate, hitting a single-season record .623 for the Blue Aces.
Valley senior Grayson Snow was named to the Division IV first team after sliding into the top spot of the Panthers’ rotation. He threw a three-hit shutout in a 3-0 victory against Buckeye Valley in the district final.
Johnstown senior Braeden Archibald also was named to the Division IV first team. Archibald was the Johnnies’ top hitter as a shortstop and also served as a closer on the mound.
Newark Catholic seniors Owen Przymierski and Kane Stephey both were named to the Division VII first team after leading the Green Wave to the LCL-Cardinal championship and a repeat district championship. The left-handed Przymierski had a dominant season on the mound and also was a key run producer after Stephey returned from a season-ending injury as a junior to set the table.
Newark senior Moses Crane was named to the Division I second team. Crane, a standout both at shortstop and on the mound, led the Wildcats to their first district championship since 2008 and regional final since 2006.
Watkins Memorial seniors center fielder Cam Burt and third baseman Jax Dotson and junior first baseman Kaden Barrows were named to the Division II second team. Licking Valley junior shortstop Brody Rodgers was named to the Division IV second team.
Watkins senior catcher Dylan Gray in Division II, Utica senior pitcher Braxton Fisher and Northridge sophomore infielder Collin Matheson in Division V and NC junior catcher Malone Hutchison in Division VII all were named to the honorable mention list.
