Legacy of Honor seeks award nominations, plans Stark County gala

LOUISVILLE ‒ Legacy of Honor is seeking nominations for the 2026 Legacy Recipient Awards and the 2026 Sad Team Six Mental Health Champion Award.

The sixth annual Legacy Gala Salute to Those Who Serve, presented by IGS Energy, will be Aug. 15 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame

The awards recognize veterans, active military, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, corrections officers, dispatchers, emergency nurses, and doctors who go above and beyond in service, according to a news release.

Legacy of Honor has partnered with Sad Team Six to recognize first responders who are championing for the mental health of others ‒ within their agencies, departments, and/or their communities. Submit 2026 Sad Team Six Mental Health Champion Award nominations at https://tinyurl.com/5a8etvh9,

Nominations also are being taken for first responders who have gone above and beyond, stepped up outside their duties or profession, or just generally have made a difference in your life. Submit 2026 Legacy Recipient Nominations at https://tinyurl.com/ms5epbat.

Nominations must be submitted by June 1.

Early Bird tickets for the gala Aug. 15 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame are on sale now through July 1 on the website Legacy of Honor, or at https://tinyurl.com/3du7vt6k.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Driver Caleb Costner will help present these awards and support Legacy of Honor’s mission.
