There’s no shortage of kind people in Columbus quietly working to make their communities a better place. The only problem with kind people, however, is that they rarely seek credit for their actions.
In the ninth year of the Everyday Kindness Heroes program, The Columbus Dispatch and Columbus Monthly magazine are calling for nominations to ensure these selfless local heroes get the recognition they deserve.
Nominations for Everyday Kindness Heroes are open now through Aug. 3. Let us know who you think has earned the title.
At the end of the year, winners will be recognized at a special event on Dec. 2 at Vitria On The Square and featured in The Columbus Dispatch and Columbus Monthly magazine.
And for those who aren’t about the fame and glory, winners will also receive grants for up to $3,000 to give to a nonprofit organization of their choice.
The Center for HumanKindness at The Columbus Foundation is the presenting sponsor for this event, alongside additional sponsors AEP Ohio and the United Way of Central Ohio.
