The lobby of the Hotel Fremont is seen here in this Grob photograph as it looked in 1935. Fremont’s most luxurious hotel was still popular even in the midst of the Great Depression. This view is toward the main entrance on West State Street near the tower on the northwest corner of Front Street across from the train depot. (Submitted by Larry Michaels and Krista Michaels)
