Spring in Greater Akron was not very winter like.
The National Weather Service has tallied its records for Meteorological Spring 2026 − which starts March 1 and ends on May 31 − and it was fairly mild.
For Greater Akron, the average temperature was 52.6 degrees − 2.4 degrees above average.
The average high temperature was 63.2 degrees, some 2.4 degrees above average.
The warmest days were May 18 and 19 when it hit 86 degrees.
And the average low temperature was 42 degrees − 2.2 degrees above normal.
It was a wet spring measured at the Akron-Canton Airport with some 16.18 inches of precipitation, which was 4.96 inches above normal.
As for snowfall, some 2.6 inches fell − 6.7 inches below normal.

Like the forecast for Greater Akron this week, the National Weather Service says the weather outlook is expected to be pretty average.
No rain is in the forecast for Greater Akron this week.
The first chance of rain showers returns on Saturday.
