What Ohio State, central Ohio players will play in Super Bowl 60?
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, wide receiver, Seattle Seahawks (Ohio State)
Smith-Njigba led the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards in the regular season, and his 2025 total ranks seventh in NFL history. Now in his third season, Smith-Njigba helped the Seahawks secure the No. 1 seed NFC and then the NFC Championship.
Smith-Njigba made a stunning one-handed catch running out of bounds that helped set up Seattle’s second score in its 31-27 win over the Rams in the NFC title game.
TreVeyon Henderson, running back, New England Patriots (Ohio State)
Drafted No. 34 overall, running back TreVeyon Henderson had a slow start to his NFL career, but by Week 10 he was rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns in a win at Tampa Bay. From that game onward, he averaged 5.8 yards per carry and scored eight touchdowns. He finished with the second-highest rookie rushing total at 911 yards.
Henderson had a quiet game against the Broncos in the AFC Championship, rushing for 5 yards on three attempts.
Mike Vrabel, head coach, New England Patriots (Ohio State)
After a one-year hiatus from coaching, Mike Vrabel returned to lead the team he spent his NFL playing career with. Under Vrabel, the Patriots bounced back from a 4-13 season in 2024 to win their first AFC East title since 2019 and turned second-year quarterback Drake Maye into an MVP candidate in the process.
With a win over the Seahawks, Vrabel would be the first coach to win a Super Bowl with the same team he previously won with as a player.
Thayer Munford Jr., offensive lineman, New England Patriots (Ohio State)
This is Munford Jr.’s second stint with the Patriots in the 2025-26 season. He was signed to the Browns’ active roster after joining the Patriots’ practice squad in August 2025. He was added to the Patriots’ active roster in late November and started the final two games of the regular season as well as the AFC Championship game.
Chris Stoll, long snapper, Seattle Seahawks (Westerville, OH)
A St. Francis DeSales alum, Stoll spent six years with Penn State before he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 2023. He’s appeared in 51 games in his pro career, including 17 in the 2025-26 season.
