EJ Walker, South Carolina transfer from Lloyd HS, commits to WKU

Former Lloyd Memorial High School standout EJ Walker, a 6-foot-8 forward who played his freshman season for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, announced via Instagram that he is transferring to the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers.

As a freshman at South Carolina, Walker appeared in 22 games with six starts, averaging 2.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.

Walker helped lead Lloyd Memorial to a 26-7 record as a senior, averaging 18.8 points and 11.1 rebounds per game while shooting 61.8% from the field and 47.7% from 3-point range.

Walker committed to South Carolina in May 2024.

On3 ranked Walker the No. 2 prospect in Kentucky for the 2025 class.
